Our solution was developed in response to our client's need for real-time tracking of mining operations and timely alerts regarding any deviations that could impact productivity and mineral grade. This led to the implementation of DataTwin, which was customized to address the user's specific needs.

INCREASE SPACE COMPLIANCE

We worked with our data science and mining business team to create the datasets that were used to develop an artificial intelligence model that is robust to operational changes, capable of adjusting to real results and presenting optimal metrics.

ALERT ON OPERATIONAL DEVIATIONS

Users expressed the need to be alerted about deviations in mining to prevent over-mining or under-mining, as well as to avoid mineral dilution.

REAL-TIME MONITORING OF MINING

Having a visualization platform was essential, allowing users to track mining operations in real time. To facilitate this, DataTwin integrates with the databases of the fleet management system.

ASTAY SYSTEMS SOLUTION

In response to the users needs, we implemented DataTwin, a web application that enables users to track mining operations in real-time, detect operational deviations, and alert supervisors to enhance spatial compliance in mining. The application is connected to the fleet management system databases, the plant system, and geological information (block models and polygons) as well as planning data (mining cuts).

To achieve the objectives, the following methodology was employed:

Connection to the databases of fleet management systems, plant, geological and planning information.

Implementation of the DataTwin application in the company's production environments connected to the algorithms and databases mentioned in point 3.

Positive results were achieved for the area through digitization and the implementation of our solution:

Real-time tracking

The real-time tracking of mining operations through the visualizer allowed the detection of anomalies in drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling operations with indicators.

Detection of operational deviations

Thanks to the alert system, supervision was able to timely detect operational deviations (under-mining or over-mining), allowing better control of the spatial compliance of mining.

Enhancement of decision-making

With inputs from operations, geology, mining plans, and plant results, the information was integrated to enable real-time tracking with metallurgical indicators from mine to plant. Through monitoring and alerts, we enhanced the decision-making process.
